The Little Falls Bluegrass, Brews & BBQ Festival Committee has decided to cancel their 2020 all-day event, which was scheduled for September 19, and instead, focus on next year’s festival, which will be held on September 18, 2021.

Event Director, David E. Warner said, “We had an incredible line up of talent already under contract for this year’s festival season, which actually started last December with a Bluegrass Christmas Concert during the Christmas in Little Falls event.”

Crowd favorites Appalachian Still and Dan Weber were slated to return in 2020, along with festival newcomer and Upstate New York’s popular Dirty Blanket, as well as event headliner The Slocan Ramblers, one of Canada’s top Bluegrass bands.

“We’re already negotiating with all of the performers to try and book them for the 2021 date. This year would have been a fantastic festival for people to attend, with the addition of the Upstate New York craft breweries and their involvement in the festival,” said Warner.

Tony DeLuca, head of the Little Falls Tourism Committee said, “the Bluegrass Festival was a very positive addition to the City’s festival base. This would have been our third year of having the event.”

“We’re disappointed that we’re not hosting the event due to the health concerns, but we’re looking forward to experiencing the festival again next year,” he stated.

Attendees to the festival have stated that Bluegrass was well-received in the City and that it had found a home for some of the best local and regional acts.

DeLuca said, “we’re also looking for other ways to present and if we can comply with the requirements, we’ll look for an even earlier Bluegrass presentation, perhaps in the winter months.”

The yearly festival is co-sponsored by the City of Little Falls Tourism Committee and the YMCA.
